OWSU RESOURCES

Kidlinks hosts this collaboration of area preschool educators, providers and community members who meet monthly to share new teaching tips, legislation, and training opportunities.  This group provides support and education to parents, educators, childcare providers, and the public with in-service workshops, newsletters, and meetings.  Kidlinks is a member of the Early Childhood Council.  Its members attend state-wide conferences and professional trainings.

Kidlinks meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of the month.  Meetings are Nov. 10, location TBA,  Dec. 8, Jan. 12, Feb. 9, Mar. 8, Apr. 12, May 10 and June 14.

 

Early Education Intervention (EEI) provides state-sponsored tuition support for preschoolers who meet criteria for being at-risk to attend area preschools. Essential Early Education (EEE) is for eligible children ages 3-5 which funds special education services such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy. 

 

Preschool Screenings - OWSU's Early Education and speech-language personnel join with area preschool and kindergarten teachers to screen 3-4 year olds in spring to help identify children's readiness, strengths, and challenges.
